According to the E-R, there are some salmon in the Feather River; so, I'll probably be taking Andrew diving there tomorrow (around 10 - 11am) to check it out. Hopefully they are't totally extinct!

We dove the river yesterday. Didn't go all the way to the fish barrier dam. There are salmon in the river this year (not as many as four or five years ago). We went to the bouy line and saw about 10 to fifteen salmon jumping. We saw a couple of them; but, vis wasn't good enough to get pictures. The fish ladder opens Sept. 15th; so, between now and then, will be the best diving to see the salmon. Why they are opneing it so late is something I don't understand. Some salmon may die without spawning.
I'll post a couple of photos I took when I get the film developed.
