Robert, Andrew, Jack, Larry and I made it to the Feather River across from the hatchery for an afternoon dive this last Sunday. The water was cold and there has not been an algae bloom all this last Summer. However, the recent rains did cloud the visibility some. All-in-all, Robert and I saw a total of ONE salmon this time. Not too good for the Feather River Kings. Plenty of crawfish and the odd friendly bass or skittish squawfish though. Larry from the Sacramento area joined us for the first time, and seemed to have a bunch of fun finding lures and other goodies using his underwater metal detector. First time I've seen one in actual operation. It was a real pleasure to make his acquaintance, and I hope he can join us again sometime. I'm sure more will be posted later by others, but here are some surface pictures of the mermen. -Terry ____________________________________________________ Robert & Jack Larry, Terry, Robert, Jack Andrew, Robert, Jack, Larry

The first picture shows my grey hair! uhg! You should have waited until I put my hood on! I'm supposed to look sort of young! I look young in all the other pictures. The second picture was taken by Andrew. In the third picture, everyone can see how Andrew has grown! This year it was new booties and fins (birthday present). I hope he doesn't outgrow his bc or wetsuit next year! The water was sort of cool. Everyone can see I was wearing a 3 mil shorty and hood. I also wore a dive skin to keep me warm. Andrews computer said 58 degree water temp. We were all in the water for about an hour. I'll post pictures I took when I get enough money to get them developed.

Hey, Andrew, the dive skin makes it look like I'm wearing a full wetsuit!
