hey all! I would need some clarifications from those more experienced. I am currently using Scubapro's Seawing Nova fins. It performs well in dives with mild currents but I feel its lack of propulsion in stronger currents.
Yesterday, while searching online, some Scubapro's Jet Fins that I saw on Dipndive.com, drew my attention. Also Poseidon's Trident Fins seem to be okay. Which is better and lighter? Any reviews, suggestions, comments?
Should I decrease my weights as these fins are already heavier than the rest?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.

I started diving using scubapro jetfins. what lured me to them was I was told to grab any other fin, jump in the pool and count my kicks to get across the pool. Then I was told to put on a set of ScubaPro Jetfins and do the same. It only took 1/3 the amount of kicks and less effort. I was sold on the jet fins. Now I have the scubapro split fins that are similar to the jet fins. I still like the jet fins better!
Make sure to try on whatever fin you are going to get with the booties you are going to wear. If the booties don't fit into the foot pocket, you'll need a different size.
Most dive stores have a pool and fins they sale are usually in their rental equipment. If your planning on buying fins from them, they should let you try out rental fins in the pool to see what you like.
The only scubapro fin I don't care for, and there is a set in my divebag, is the seawing nova. They are sorta ok underwater; but, for a surface swim they have a lot to be desired. I just kept the ones I have for spare fins ... I got them for half price. With them you probably don't get much propulsion on the surface, right? You really need to try the Scubapro Jetfins! There is a reason they have outlasted almost all other fins and have been on the market since the 70's while other fins come and go. The US Navy mostly uses them ... that should tell you something.
And, don't worry about lighter. I knew one diver who looked for the lightest split fins he could find. Went on a dive boat to Catalina Is. and the fins split in to on him! There was some current ... my scubapro jet fins, nothing happened to them. Felt sorry for the dude, it was only his second dive ...
Hope this helps!
